Today has been long-awaited… the opening of our brand-new library in the heart of our school!
The new library, which is just opposite the canteen in the ground floor of Winterbourne, is open plan, bright and welcoming. It will provide a vital space for our school community to use before school and during breaktimes whatever the weather. Mrs Booker and her team have worked tirelessly since Easter to catalogue book stock, pack it all into boxes, dismantle shelving and then do it all again in reverse. The fruit of their labours was unveiled today with the grand opening supported by local author, John Townsend.
This really is a beautiful space that will be well utilised by students across the year groups.
