On Wednesday 22nd November the Year 13 Criminology students spent the day at Plymouth Marjon University, exploring all things criminology. As part of this experience, our criminology students entered the Crime Scene House, where they had to investigate a crime scene using their knowledge to determine the chronology of the crime and what they thought had happened. The Year 13s impressed, quickly solving the crime and demonstrating their knowledge about impression, trace and bodily fluids. In the afternoon, they explored the Loftus Theory of Misinformation applying this to the use of and reliability of eye witness testimonies in criminal investigations. The university were incredibly impressed by the Year 13’s enthusiasm and knowledge.
