At Kenn C of E, we had a range of celebrations to mark the Coronation of King Charles III. This started with a tea party with dancing, singing and some special guests from our local community.
Next, the school choir performed two songs at St Andrew’s Church for the special Coro-nation Service led by Father John.
Finally, we held a ‘big help out’ event in our playground, in which volunteers came into school and worked on our allotment, getting the area prepared for a ‘sensory, spiritual garden’ – a space for children to use for quieter break times, a place to reflect, and to ex-plore their spirituality.
Each of our events went really well, with lots of fun had by all. We would like to thank all of the special guests who attended our tea party on the Friday. We would also like to thank everyone at St Andrew’s Church for making us feel so welcome.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to all of the people who came into school on their Bank Holiday Monday and worked so hard to improve the school grounds.
You all made a big difference to the site, and everyone in school were amazed at the progress you all made! It also filled us with joy to know that so many people care about the school and are willing to give up their time to help.
Thank you
