A few weeks ago we were delighted to welcome Catherine Omanyo and her husband Darron all the way from Kenya, in East Africa. Catherine is a Kenyan MP—one of the few females to serve in the Kenyan parliament. She gave an inspirational talk to the children about life in Kenya and about following your dreams to reach your goals. The children wrote questions for Catherine and loved finding out about the lives of children in Kenya. Catherine also spoke about the school in Matayos, a small town in Kenya, that she created years ago to help children who have no access to education. What an inspiration for us all!
