Thursday 21st of March saw all eight of the Ivy Education Trust schools come together for a fantastic trust wide music project. “Landscapes and Seascapes” was the theme for the evening with each of our schools designing artwork alongside the writing, composing and performing of a song based on their specific location. With the help of Sonopera musicians Pat Saturley and Elfyn Jones, the pupils came up with some wonderfully funny and honest lyrics to describe where they live and go to school. A total of 195 pupils across all age groups showcased their individual songs in the Daphne Collman Auditorium based at Newton Abbot College in front of two supportive audiences of friends and family.
It was a fantastic evening where the amazing talents of our young people could be heard and enjoyed. We are incredibly proud of how our schools worked collaboratively with one another and put together a brilliant show!
