This week, we were delighted to welcome members of the Dawlish Water Rotary Club to our Celebration Assembly, where we expressed our heartfelt thanks for their incredibly generous donation of a class set of dictionaries and thesauruses.
During the assembly, our visitors were treated to an exciting showcase of our recent school activities. We shared highlights from our engaging Design and Technology day, a fantastic class assembly, creative firework-themed crafts, and some wonderful sound science experiments. The children truly shone, demonstrating their enthusiasm and learning by performing some delightful singing for our guests.
The current Rotary Club president, Ed McLaughlin, spoke directly to our pupils, explaining the important work of the Rotary Club and how they support both local and international causes. It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to learn about community service and generosity.
Our Head Boy and members of the School Council proudly accepted the dictionaries on behalf of all our pupils, representing the entire school community. We are immensely grateful to Dawlish Rotary for this meaningful gift. These dictionaries will be an invaluable resource that will support our pupils’ learning and language development for many years to come.
